Milan Guided Tour
Milan Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Piazza del Duomo, the most iconic spot in Milan, to start this guided tour during which we'll discover the main attractions of the Lombard capital by walking around the streets of its historic centre.
We'll start with the famous Duomo di Milano, one of the largest cathedrals in the world. Officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, this temple is also the largest church in Italy and one of the most impressive examples of Gothic architecture in our country.
As we head inside to explore this emblematic church, we'll hear about the history of this monument and the square in which it stands before moving on to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, referred to as Milan's salon. Do you know the reason for this appellation? We'll find out on the day of the tour!
Then, we'll head towards the Teatro alla Scala, home of the Milan Opera House. Once here, we'll take in its solemn neoclassical façade designed by Giuseppe Piermarini and the bas-relief that crowns the highest part of the building. What is it? We'll find out!
Afterwards, we'll immerse ourselves in the elegant Milanese neighbourhoods in the city centre, where history, modernity and cutting-edge technology come together. Among the most interesting streets, we'll walk along via della Spiga, considered a true fashion centre: luxurious boutiques and stately palaces feature plenty here!
Finally, after a2-hour tour, we'll bring this tour to an end back at the starting point.
